Based on Hold Me Tight – Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love and the core concepts of one of the most successful models of couples therapy (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy) by Dr. Sue Johnson.

During the Hold Me Tight weekend, couples will experience:

  • Improved communication
  • Recognizing underlying reasons for conflict
  • Moving out of negative conflict cycles
  • Deeper intimacy and closeness
  • A better understanding of both your partner’s and your own emotional responses and needs
  • Affirming relationship strengths and creating a secure attachment

This workshop is designed for all couples in a committed relationship (dating, living together, LGBTQ , common-law and married ) who are interested in becoming more responsive and engaged with one another.

FACILITATORS

Jodi holds a Masters degree in Social Work and is a Registered Social worker. As an Emotionally Focused Therapist, she provides services to individuals, couples, and families regarding a wide range of relational and mental health concerns. Jodi works collaboratively with clients towards achieving their needs, wants and goals within a structured and therapeutic environment. As a sub-speciality, Jodi provides therapeutic, supportive and educational services to individuals, couples and families dealing with the personal impact of substance use, gambling and/or mental health concerns.

MSW, RSW

Christine holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Christine uses both emotion-focused and body-oriented approaches with her clients to resolve symptoms of trauma, stress, anxiety and depression. She also uses attachment re-patterning and emotion-focused therapy to help clients recover from adverse experiences in childhood and learn how to have relationships which are engaging, fulfilling, and emotionally connected. A sought after teacher and mentor, she also regularly leads workshops and international retreats.
